PEANUT BUTTER GANG
Join us the second Saturday of each month at 8:15 AM in the East Campus cafeteria to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the hungry and homeless on Long Island. Children under the age of 9 cannot be accommodated and those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must have taken the Virtus Training.
Unfortunately, due to logistics, if you do not pre-register, you cannot participate. Please bring a jar of peanut butter, a jar of jelly, and 2 loaves of bread. This month we need all supplies. Thank you. Remember what Jesus told us, “Amen I say to you, whatever you did for the least of my brothers, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40).
FOOD PANTRY
We hold a monthly food drive and donations of non-perishable food and personal hygiene items are brought to parish social ministry. Each month we specify which items we are in need of for that month. Through your generosity and donations, we are able to help the many families who come to our outreach for assistance. If you or someone you know would benefit from our food pantry, please contact Parish Social Ministry, ext.9410. We will provide utmost confidentiality.
PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
Our Prayer Shawl Ministry meets the second and fourth Monday of each month at 9:45 am in the Peter and Paul Room of the Finamore Center to knit or crochet prayer shawls or lap blankets for our sick and homebound parishioners. New members are always welcome. You need not know how to knit or crochet. We have talented parishioners who can teach you. If you have any question please call Parish Social Ministry 746-6585, ext. 408.
DRIVING MINISTRY
Through this ministry, we provide rides for our senior citizens to their doctor appointments 2 times a month. You need not commit to any particular day. If you need help getting to your doctor appointment, please contact the office several days in advance of the appointment and we will try our best to set you up with a driver. If you are interested in joining this ministry as a driver please call Parish Social Ministry at 746-6585, ext. 408.
DRIVING COORDINATOR
The Coordinator will be notified of driving requests which we receive and then you will contact one of the volunteer drivers to arrange for transportation. The coordinator will be called upon approximately once every six weeks. This is a volunteer position that is done from the comfort of your home. If you are able to assist us please call Parish Social Ministry 746-6585, ext. 9408.
JOHN MCALLISTER MEMORIAL MEN’S PRAYER GROUP

A person who is eligible for Talbot House services is evaluated individually, by phone and/or appointment. The medical and clinical staff helps to determine the kind of care the person needs, to begin his/her journey to recovery. For information, please call: 631-589-4144. Talbot House staff can assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. NO fees are necessary. The only requirement is the desire to be "clean and sober." ALL calls remain confidential.
WHEEL CHAIRS AND WALKERS

BEREAVEMENT GROUP
Meets twice a year in Peter & Paul Room of the Finamore Parish Center in the Spring and the Fall by trained Bereavement Counselors to help you cope with grief which is a very difficult but important journey. When a loved one dies, a period of grief usually follows. It is almost impossible for humans to experience loss without feeling some kind of grief. Grief can be painful, confusing and overwhelming. Sharing with others can be supportive and healing.
Please call the Parish Social Ministry Office at: 746-6585, ext. 408 to register.
